Orders and delivery
When will my order be sent?
Ready-to-ship pieces are usually packed and sent within 1-3 working days. Made-to-order pieces take up to 3 weeks to make before they're sent, and custom orders take a little longer (see Custom orders below).
How much is UK delivery?
Standard UK delivery is £1.99, and free on orders over £50. Need it sooner? Express delivery is £6.99.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Delivery to the EU is calculated at checkout and is free on orders over £100. US delivery is £14, free on orders over £100. Delivery to other countries we ship to is £23.99. International orders may be charged import duties or taxes by your country on arrival.
Can I order Fingerprint Jewels from outside the UK?
Not just yet. The mark-making kit is posted to you and back to me, so Fingerprint Jewels are UK only for now. International sunbeings, I'm working on it!
Returns and refunds
Can I return my order?
Necklaces, rings and sets, whether ready-to-ship or made-to-order, can be returned within 14 days of delivery, as long as they're unworn and in their original condition. Return postage is paid by you, so I'd recommend a tracked service. For hygiene reasons, earrings can't be returned unless they're faulty.
Can I return a custom order?
Because they're designed and made just for you, custom orders can't be returned unless they arrive faulty. Made-to-order pieces from the shop follow the normal returns rules above.
What if my piece arrives faulty or damaged?
I'm so sorry if that happens! Send me a message through the contact form within 5 working days of delivery, including your order number and a photo, and I'll repair, replace or refund it.
How long do refunds take?
Once your return reaches me and I've checked it, I'll process your refund to your original payment method within 5 working days. How long it then takes to appear in your account depends on your bank or card provider.
Materials and care
Is your jewellery nickel-free?
Yes. All of the wire I use is nickel-free, so it's kind to sensitive skin.
What is my jewellery made from?
Each piece is shaped by hand from plated or filled wire (gold, silver, copper and more) and finished with resin, built up slowly layer by layer. Some designs also include crystals.
How do I look after my jewellery?
Take your pieces off before swimming, showering or exercising, keep them away from perfume, lotions and cleaning products, and store them somewhere dry, ideally in their pouch. A gentle wipe with a soft dry cloth keeps them shining.
Custom orders
How long will my custom take?
Once you submit your request, I aim to respond within 3-5 working days. Once your order is confirmed, please allow an additional 5-15 working days for making, depending on the design and materials. I'll keep you updated by email throughout.
What colour wire can I choose from?
There's a wide range of filled wires to choose from, including silver, gold, copper, antique bronze, red, black, pink, purple, blue and teal. If the colour you'd love isn't listed, let me know and I'll try to source it for you.
Which crystals can I choose from?
My crystals are always being used and restocked, so the selection is ever-changing. If there's a specific stone you'd like, note it in your request and I'll do my best to source it.
What designs can I choose from?
Anything! Pick from any of my existing designs, or tell me what you have in mind and I'll create something new from your inspiration. New and complex designs take a little longer to make.
